My final words... maybe

Hi guys, I have decided that i will not continue this blog anymore... I think.. I really do not have the time to maintain one anymore. Thus as my final words on this site, I say thank you to all that have read it.

PS: I may resurrect this site someday, but for the moment I will not be updating it anymore (as if I have for the last 6 months or so)...

Busy busy busy

This will be another quick post cuz i got to run of to film some ppl playing badminton....
Again, no pics this time too.

I have not updated this place for like 2 weeks. And this time I have a reason for that. I have exams... Talking about exams, sigh... I have 5 papers to take. 1 was horrible, 2 was slaughter, 1 was too easy (and that is bad), and the last one was just ok (uni life ain't as easy as it seemed).

Ok lets go on to post exams when life starts anew. When back to KL on the 6th which was last Wednesday. Spent most of my days lounging around watching tv. On friday, I wanted to get my passport renewed. So I stood in line waiting and waiting with the assumption that once I get my application submitted, I could get my passport back within 2 hours. (if u read The Star, it did state that renewal can be done within 2 hours now). Not trusting them however, I went to check at the counter and sure enough the guy there said that it will only be done in like 24 hours. (cannot trust articles in the newspaper praising the efficiency of our government service) So in the end, I didnt get anything done cuz I was suppose to come back on monday and monday is a public holiday in selangor. Anyway, for u guys who needs to renew your passport, I suggest doing it before your 21st birthday and bring along your unversity offer letter and if u got one, your acceptance letter. Why? Cuz u will get a 50% discount on your passport. So the other RM150 u can spend on your shopping spree...

And now, I am back in the hall, doing hall stuff. Currently building the sets for my hall's production. Cheeks, me and another girl, Ming Jie (spelling could be wrong) is building a mini bar and a medicine cabinet. ( If u think that is an easy job, think again. Haha. We spent half a day getting our angles for the wood right so that we could fit them together). I am also busy filming sports trainings for the IHG (inter hall games) opening video. Which is what I am suppose to do now and I am late.

Life now is kinda monotonous. It starts in the morning at around 9.30am. Work work work all day till almost 11pm. Go back to the room feeling freaking tired. Some surfing and chatting. Then plomp on the bed before waking up the next morning to repeat the cycle.

Now I really got to run...

Another week has passed

Its been another period of silence before this post. About the photos, I m just too lazy to even transfer it to my com yet, much less upload it.

I juz had a test yesterday morning. Yep, it is on a Sat. Freaking spoil my weekend!! AND WORST, I think I may have screwed it... Hopefully not...*keeping fingers crossed*

The past 1 week have juz been the built up to the test. Trying to study everyday but end up watching Bleach all over again or going here and there and doing everything else.

Oh btw,

Happy Birthday ERLIN!!

Went to her birthday BBQ yesterday night. Meet some of the NTU peeps there, oh and not forgetting SMU too. After BBQ we went to fong seng to have supper...

Other than that, I got in to RAG comm. Its a holiday committee, stretching over the 3 months holiday. Guess i won't be going back home for that holiday..

Hmm, I have no idea what else to say. Let me just tell u about last friday. One of my most happiest moments in hall. Why? Cuz I got to do something I really like. Cooking. I cooked for almost the entire block E. It was the junior treat senior thing. And I was made to cook. Which was kinda what I hope. Haha. Anyway, we [me n some other eekers (thats what we call ourselves from block E of sheares hall)] made potato and egg salad/mash, fruit salad, popcorn chicken, chicken and celery sandwich (dun get put of by the celery, it really taste good in this combination) and baked pasta. Oh gosh, I am feeling hungry juz recalling it. Dun wanna talk about this anymore. Anyone out there who wants to eat my cooking, come find me k.:)

OK.. this is getting drageeeeeee... I will end here. Some photos would help I guess.

I love thursdays and fridays

As the title have suggested, this is what i m gonna talk about.

Why do I love Thursdays and Fridays?

Cuz its the 2 days where I m almost free. Almost no classes to attend. Only a 2 hour lecture on thursday. Nothing on friday. Not much school work except to prepare for next week.

yet... I am still not free. Hall activities are demanding... You wouldn't know unless you are staying here. Have to do this and that. Prepare this and that. Go for this and that.

But yet again... without all this, life would be sooooo boring... come back from lessons... and sleep...

Which comes back to the question of why I love thursdays and fridays when it is still filled with work, work and more work...??

I guess I just like all these activities.. I find it fun.. I find it worthwhile to have them.. I find that anyone who doesn't have a chance to do this will not have a complete university experience.

What has Singapore done to me??

Its been a long time... A very very very very very very long time.
To those of you who still read my blog.. (I don't think there is any left).. I am deeply deeply sorry.

I this long absence, many things had occured. Not juz Thaksin and Mahathir, but many other things.

In this time:

I got into Common Engineering in NUS,
Sheares Hall is my new home away from home,
Orientation came and went,
I got used to Singapore life again,
I turned from teacher back to a student,
I got into 5 committees in and outside the hall (which explains why I am so busy),
I made new friends,
Lost contact with some,
Some friendships were renewed,
Some friendships were forgotten,
Some people made me angry,
Some people irritated me,
Some people made me happy,
Some people touched my heart,
I miss many people,
I had to part with many too,
I had lots of lectures and tutorials,
I dropped a module out of pure hate for the lecturer,
I cooked some nice supper for the people I like,
I went mamak-ing and supper-ing for many many nights,
I grown fatter and rounder,
I had my first test in 8 months,
I had my second and third and fourth test in 8 months,
I visited and bunked over at NTU,
I went back to Malaysia once,
I watched 3 movies in total,
I discovered many new places to visit,
I had a new haircut,
Buaya week (a hall event) came and went,
Mooncake Festival came and went,
Deepavali came and went,
Hari Raya is here,

And most important of all...

I started blogging again!!!

PS: A special thanks to the person who encouraged me to blog again

Similarities?

All day staring at the ceiling

Making friends with shadows on my wall

All night hearing voices telling me

That I should get some sleep

Because tomorrow might be good for something

Hold on

Feeling like I'm headed for a breakdown

And I don't know why

But I'm not crazy, I'm just a little unwell

I know right now you can't tell

But stay awhile and maybe then you'll see

A different side of me

I'm not crazy, I'm just a little impaired

I know right now you don't care

But soon enough you're gonna think of me

And how I used to be...me

I'm talking to myself in public

Dodging glances on the train

And I know, I know they've all been talking about me

I can hear them whisper

And it makes me think there must be something wrong with me

Out of all the hours thinking

Somehow I've lost my mind

But I'm not crazy, I'm just a little unwell

I know right now you can't tell

But stay awhile and maybe then you'll see

A different side of me

I'm not crazy, I'm just a little impaired

I know right now you don't care

But soon enough you're gonna think of me

And how I used to be

I've been talking in my sleep

Pretty soon they'll come to get me

Yeah, they're taking me away

Uni Life

Wow...
Its been such a long time since the last post. I wonder if there is anyone reading this anymore...

The last 2 weeks was one of the most tiring 2 weeks ever in my life. I checked into Sheares Hall exactly 2 weeks ago. Helped out in rag most of the time in the days before the hall orientation. It was like working on contact glue and cutting stuff till 3pm in the morning. Not much complains though cuz I got to meet new friends.

Orientation started on Thursday night after my matriculation. It was very very very tiring. Waking up at 7am and going to bed most of the time at 3am. Yup, 4 hours of sleep for 5 days in a row. The orientation was jam packed with lots of activities. We had war games, beach games, etc... The result of all these is a very tired and sunburned body.

On tuesday, it was flag day. We went round selling flags. I also went to get my Student Pass done. After waiting like forever in a queue to get a number, then submitting my application, then waiting to collect my pass, the officer there told me that NUS had forgotten to stamp the date for which the pass should expire. I was told to get it stamped and return another day.. this incident really pissed me off...

Wednesday was Singapore National Day. I spent most of my time with CK, Brit, Tiang Lim and Karthik at Orchard. Then we went back to Kallang to watch the fireworks display (which only lasted like 3 minutes). Along the way, we made a visit to Dunman High Hostel. That place has been renovated...!!! Why must they do it after I leave!!! Anyway, now the canteen area has been airconditioned. And the signing in system is now electronic. You just need to tap your card there. So easy compared to what we had to do last time. Access to the common rooms like the music room is also by tapping the card...

Thursday and Friday was spent helping rag. Rag day is on Saturday. I was helping out in the materials department. It was a rush to finish the float in time. Later on I helped out in the Logistics section, in charge of pushing one of the props. Yet, after all the hardwork the entire hall had put into rag, we didn't win any prize. So sad...

This post was posted after I came back from MOS at 3am. This concludes my super tiring first 2 weeks of uni life.
